More that 100 extra police officers will soon be on the beat on the streets of Greater Manchester . The extra police officers will join neighbourhood police team teams
already in place. Manchester Labour led the way in striking a deal with other Greater Manchester councils and the police.
Manchester Councillor Paul Murphy said, “As the chair of the Police Authority I am very pleased to fund over 100 extra police officers. They will be based in neighbourhood police teams and will
help in reducing crime and anti social behaviour in your area. This demonstrates Manchester Labour listens to residents and we have responded with more police officers
The extra police officers will be backed up by 191 community support officers who are already making an impact on our streets.”.
